BSBATCH - USAGE (interactive method)
------------------------------------
The DATABASE combobox contains all the database aliases known to your Borland Database Engine.

1. Select a Database to work with.
2. The LIST BOX now contains the tables found in the selected database
3. Select ALL, or NONE of the tables using the speedbuttons, or individually using the mouse, and standard Windows key combinations.
4. Click PACK to permanently remove deleted records, and resructure and generally tidy up all the tables you selected.
5. Click REINDEX to rebuild the maintained indexes associated with the selected tables.
6. Click ZAP to permanently remove ALL records from the selected tables. CONFIRMATION IS REQUIRED!!

Any table which BSBATCH was unable to action will remain SELECTED (highlighted) at the end of the operation. The most common reason for not actioning a table is that the table was busy at the time. Make sure that all users close those tables, and try again.

BSBATCH - USAGE (auto method)
-----------------------------
BSBATCH will also run automatically from Command Parameters.

BSBATCH [databasename] [pack|reindex]

1. Calling BSBATCH with just a databasename will launch the program with the databasename as the selected database. This may be advantageous when calling from another program.

2. Calling BSBATCH with both a databasename and a command (pack or reindex) will launch BSBATCH with the named database, Select ALL the tables in that database, then procede to pack or reindex them. Once finished, BSBATCH then closes down.

BSBATCH1.LOG
------------
By default, BSBATCH records a log of all operations performed, together with the the Date and Time, and the success or failiure. Subsequent operations are appended to the log, which may be viewed using the LOG button. The file is called BSBATCH1.LOG, is situated in the Installed directory, and may be edited or deleted completely without affecting program operation.
